This study aims to analyze terms of service and privacy policies of online mental health services in Singapore, comparing private companies and non-profit agencies. It will describe the content of these documents, assess their readability, and examine how user consent is framed. The research will collect documents from mobile apps and websites offering mental health support in Singapore, using textual analysis techniques. The study’s significance lies in evaluating the transparency and appropriateness of these legal documents, informing advocacy efforts to improve user-friendliness, ensuring informed consent, and protecting user rights, especially for vulnerable populations. Ultimately, it aims to guide the development of ethical, accessible legal documents for online mental health services.
